Battle of Intellects: Winners of the "TAU Startup Battle" Tech Competition Announced
Turan-Astana University recently hosted the grand finale of the "TAU Startup Battle," a premier startup competition dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The event brought together young visionaries from across Kazakhstan, showcasing breakthrough solutions in AI, EdTech, Fintech, and Cybersecurity.
This year, the competition reached a new scale in both geographical reach and project quality. Teams presented ventures ranging from bold conceptual stages to fully functional prototypes. An expert jury evaluated the startups based on rigorous criteria: innovation, feasibility, team competence, and global scalability potential.
"TAU Startup Battle" Winners: The Top Three
1st Place: QarzhyAI (Nur Rustembekov, Turan-Astana University)
An intelligent personal finance assistant. This AI-driven application goes beyond simple expense tracking, acting as a personal financial advisor that analyzes user behavior to generate tailored strategies for savings, credit management, and investments.
2nd Place: HireGen AI (Nurali Berdigaliyev, Turan-Astana University)
A robust platform at the intersection of EdTech and HRTech. The system guides candidates through every stage of career development—from diagnosing knowledge gaps to AI-simulated job interviews. HireGen AI builds personalized career tracks, providing employers with a pipeline of pre-vetted, high-ready talent.
3rd Place: BilimVoice (Zhaina Akhmetova, Dias Itemgenov, Almas Tolybay; Yessenov University, Aktau)
A multilingual AI assistant designed for educational institutions. This solution provides real-time speech recognition and translation of lectures, creating a searchable digital knowledge base and significantly increasing educational accessibility.
Special Nomination: "Social Impact"
SENIM CALL (Rabira Amantai, Urozali Murodov, Vladislava Kapitseva, Diana Kulgaraeva; Turan-Astana University)
An AI-powered application designed to detect and prevent telephone fraud. The system analyzes incoming calls and messenger links in real-time to alert users of potential threats. A standout feature is the "Family Oversight" function, which automatically notifies trusted contacts when a security threat is detected.
