A competition has been announced to allocate grants for the implementation of student startups

As part of the implementation of the University Development Program for 2025–2029, a competition has been announced to provide grants for the implementation of innovative and entrepreneurial projects (startups) to students of the Turan-Astana University on a gratuitous basis in order to support the innovative and entrepreneurial potential of students.

Applications for participation and project materials are accepted until April 23, 2025 inclusive by email to k.shebeko@tau-edu.kz

The application includes the following documents:

• information about the participants:

 

o last name, first name, patronymic in Kazakh, Russian and English;

o Educational program

o Course/Group

o Contact information (phone, email)

 

• brief description of the project (1-2 pages);

• business plan (if applicable);

• other documents at the request of the competition organizers.

All students of Turan-Astana University can participate in the competition. Individual or collective participation is allowed (teams of no more than 5 people).

Participants must submit a project that meets the aims and objectives of the competition and demonstrates innovation, viability and potential for implementation.

 

The project must be at the development or implementation stage and have commercialization prospects.

The composition of the competition committee:

Chairman: Smoilov Samat Zhumagalievich, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation;

members of the committee:

1. Aimkulov Rakhat Ashkenovich, Dean of the Higher School of Business and Digital Technologies;

2. Narbinova Mirgul Maidanovna, Dean of the Higher School of Law and Humanities.

 

Project evaluation.

Projects are evaluated according to the following criteria:

 

• innovativeness and originality of the idea;

• commercial potential;

• social and/or environmental significance of the project;

• degree of readiness of the project for implementation;

• team and qualifications of the participants;

• additional criteria established by the competition committee.

 

The competition is held on the basis of the REGULATIONS on holding a competition for the allocation of grants for the implementation of student startups.
