А presentation of the collective monograph “Psychological approaches to organizing correctional work with children with special educational needs”

On the 15th of October of 2024, a presentation of the collective monograph “Psychological approaches to organizing correctional work with children with special educational needs” took place under the general editorship of Professor S.K. Zhantikeev.

In her opening remarks, the head of the department of SSHLD A.B. Donbaeva emphasized the importance of conducting scientific research and reflecting it in such monographs and announced the beginning of the presentation of a series of scientific and educational-methodical publications of the teaching staff of the department.

            The solemn moment of the presentation was the ceremony of cutting the red ribbon by N.M. Irgebaeva who is the leading scientist and honorary worker of the education system.

            The high level of scientific research and reflection of the applied aspects of the studies presented in the monograph was noted in the welcoming speech of the professor and co-author of the monograph G.D. Baubekova.

            The presentation was given by the co-authors of the collective monograph, A.Kh. Sagadatova, A.U. Ermukhambetova, A.M. Fafashkina, A.S. Kurmanova, who are practical psychologists working with children with special educational needs. Various approaches and technologies of the psychologist's work were presented, the dynamics and effect of correctional and developmental impact on children were shown, and recommendations for practical psychologists on organizing work with children with special educational needs were offered.  The participating psychology students of the final year were particularly interested in the use of psychological tools in practical work with children with special educational needs, and issues of their professional orientation and the possibility of employment in correctional centers of the capital were also touched upon.

At the suggestion of psychology students, 5 copies of the collective monograph were donated to the university library for familiarization and study of approaches to corrective work with children with special educational needs.

            The Department of SSHLD, at the suggestion of the person responsible for scientific work, PhD G.A. Zhumabekova, plans to systematically conduct similar presentations of publications of the teaching staff, inviting leading specialists and students of educational programs.
