At the University "Turan-Astana" held a round table on the topic: "Protection of human and civil rights and fundamental freedoms in criminal proceedings of the Republic of Kazakhstan", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the University "Turan-Astana".
At the University of "Turan-Astana" on the basis of the Humanitarian Law
School, the Department of "National and International Law" organized a
round table on the topic: "Protection of human and civil rights and
fundamental freedoms in criminal proceedings of the Republic of
Kazakhstan", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the University of "Turan-
Astana".
The purpose of the round table: discussion of the main issues of
protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings of
the Republic of Kazakhstan at the present stage."
The work of the round table began with the welcoming words of the
rector of the University "Turan-Astana" Dzhaparova Gulzhamal Alkenovna,
Candidate of Economic Sciences, professor, during the work reports of
outstanding representatives of the legal elite of Kazakhstan were heard:
1. Borchashvili Isidor Shamilovich, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Doctor
of Law, Professor of the Higher School of Law of Astana International
University - "Implementation of constitutional norms in criminal legislation
PK";
2. Biekenov Nurlan Amangeldievich, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the
Security and Law Enforcement Department of the Presidential
Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan - "Organizational issues of
countering torture in police activities";
3. Skakov Aydarkan Baydekovich, Doctor of Law, Professor of the
Department of Criminal Law and Organization of Execution of Punishment of
Kostanay Academy; Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan
named after Sh.Kabylbayeva - "On the main directions of development of
criminal policy in Kazakhstan".
4. Akhpanov Arystan Nukeshovich, Doctor of Law, Professor of the
Department of Criminal Law Disciplines of L.N. Gumilev ENU - "Criminal
Procedure and Constitutionalism";
5. Akimzhanov Talgat Kurmanovich, Doctor of Law, Professor, Director of
the Research Institute of Law of the University "Turan" - "Strengthening the
preventive functions of the criminal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- as an important condition for further democratization and humanization";
6. Lakbayev Kanat Sametovich, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department
of ORDO of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the
Republic of Kazakhstan named after B.Beisenov - "Legal consequences of
ORDO and protection of individual rights";
7. Imanbayev Serik Mardenovich, Candidate of Law, Professor of the
Department of National and International Law of the University "Turan-
Astana" - "Legal regulation of the release of prisoners sentenced to life
imprisonment from correctional institutions";
8. Abinov Nazar Temerbaevich lawyer of the Bar Association of Astana -
"Problems of differentiation of fraud and entrepreneurial activity in criminal
proceedings";
9. Dzhakupov Zhalgas Balabekovich, Head of the Local Police Service of
the Sary-Arka District Police Department, Astana;
10. Kabdualiev Malik Mambetovich, Head of the Investigation Department
of the Police and Transport Department, Police Colonel.
During the event, a lively and constructive dialogue took place on all the
issues outlined in the program. According to the results of the round table,
appropriate recommendations were developed for consideration in further
work.
