Students of the EP “Tourism” are winners again!

In the period from October 10 to November 5, 2023, the II Republican Distance Olympiad was held for students of 1-4 years of the educational program “Tourism”, dedicated to World Tourism Day. The organizer of the Olympiad was the Kazakh-American Free University (Ust-Kamenogorsk). The Olympiad was held in two stages: the first stage - submission of an application and a scientific article from the team, the second stage - the development of a draft tourist route.

From the Turan-Astana University, two «Kyran» teams took part in the Olympiad (composition: Bilisova T., Kuanysheva A., Kyrykpay G., scientific supervisor - senior teachers of the department «Design, Service and Tourism» Galiakbarov E.E., Baizakova A.S.) and «Summit» (composition: Valiev A., Kumisbekov A., Savelyev D., scientific supervisor, senior lecturer of the department «Design, Service and Tourism» Galiakbarov E.E.).

The teams showed a high level of their theoretical knowledge, academic skills in preparing the article, as well as practical skills in developing a tourist route project. As a result, according to the results of the Olympiad, the teams took the 2nd («Kyran» team) and 3rd («Summit») prize places. Each participant was awarded a participant diploma, and the senior managers were awarded a letter of gratitude.
