The Department of Design, Service and Tourism actively attracts foreign professors to the educational process

Within the walls of the University of Turan-Astana, on April 04, 2023, the 
Department of Design, Service and Tourism for students in the direction of 
Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business organized and conducted a guest 
lecture by Professor of the Economic University of Varna Viliyan Krastev 
(Bulgaria) on the topic "Peculiarities of tourism development in Bulgaria". 
Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Viliyan Krastev is one of the famous
scientists in Bulgaria, dealing with the development of modern tourism in 
European countries. Today, it actively cooperates with leading educational 
centers in Russia and Kazakhstan.
As part of the guest lecture, the professor shared information about the 
specifics of the development of the tourism sector in European countries, the 
prospects for the development of the global tourism industry in a tough 
turbulent environment, and also presented the main areas of cooperation 
between the Economic University of Varna and the University of Turan-Astana.
I would like to note that the department widely practices the invitation of 
professors, practitioners, experts for meetings and guest lectures. This enables 
students to accumulate the necessary wealth of knowledge and skills to conduct 
effective professional activities in the future.
