The Department of Design, Service and Tourism is focused on increasing the demand for its graduates in the labor market

Оn February 15, 2023, the department for students and teaching staff organized a 
meeting with the deputy director of the ALE «Kazakhstan Tourism Association» 
Anar Shaimukhanova. During the meeting, the issues of certification of students 
in the educational programs "Tourism" and "Restaurant and hotel business" were 
considered.
It is worth noting that the department constantly monitors labor market trends 
and seeks to improve the competitiveness of its graduates. Today, certification is 
one of the tools for recognizing students' skills acquired during their studies at a 
university. The representative of the association familiarized students and 
teaching staff in detail with the activities of such organizations as the ALE 
«Kazakhstan Tourism Association», ALE «Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and 
Restaurants» and LLP «Certification Center in the field of tourism and hospitality». 
In addition, Anar Shaimukhanova presented in detail the procedure for passing 
the certification.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the department and the 
above associations in the development of educational programs, organization of 
practice and employment were also considered.
