Educational work
The educational activities of the Department of Business Administration are carried out in accordance with the modern requirements of the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are aimed at forming a comprehensively developed, socially responsible, and competitive personality. In a broad pedagogical sense, upbringing is considered a purposeful and organized process of influencing students, ensuring the formation of their professional, civic, and personal qualities.
The goals of the department’s educational work are determined taking into account the needs of society, the strategic priorities of the state, and the characteristics of modern youth. The main goal is to develop a harmoniously formed individual with a high level of culture, social responsibility, patriotism, and professional competence.
The department’s educational system is implemented through a set of activities aimed at developing students’ intellectual, moral, aesthetic, labor, and physical qualities. Special attention is paid to fostering an active civic position, respect for national traditions and cultural heritage, as well as the development of leadership and communication skills.
Within the framework of educational work, the department regularly organizes cultural, scientific-practical, sports, and career-guidance events. For example, on September 19, 2024, students of groups E-24-1, M-24-1, A-24-1, F-24-1, FB-24-1, under the guidance of an advisor, attended the World Nomad Games, which contributed to their engagement with national culture and traditions. In addition, under the guidance of advisors and faculty members, students participated in Digital Bridge Astana sessions, gaining insight into modern digital trends.
Third- and fourth-year students attended the open tug-of-war tournament “fest425 tartu” held at the Zhastar Sarayi in Astana, where they became acquainted with the development of national sports. On the same day, the ethnocultural quest “Unity of Cultures of the Native City” took place at the House of Friendship in Astana, where students of the department actively participated, demonstrating their knowledge of the country’s cultural diversity and teamwork skills.
A significant role in educational work is played by events dedicated to national holidays and memorable dates. These included events devoted to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan titled “Tauelsizdik – Mangilik Eldin Tugyry,” curator hours for Gratitude Day, participation in the celebration of International Women’s Day, and active involvement in organizing events such as “Welcome – Nauryz,” the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, and Defender of the Fatherland Day.
The department also focuses on developing students’ self-organization and professional skills. In this regard, discussions were held on the proper organization of independent exam preparation and the prevention of exam stress, curator hours titled “Timely Planning is the Key to Success,” and a round table on “How to Properly Write a Resume.”
Students of the department actively participate in university competitions and initiatives such as “Best Freshman,” “Best Group,” “Student Leader,” and “Best Dormitory Room,” which contribute to the development of leadership qualities and social engagement.
Scientific and educational work also holds an important place in the department’s activities. Within the framework of the “Leader” scientific club, the Enactus TAU club was launched, aimed at developing students’ entrepreneurial and social initiatives.
As part of the Business Administration Department Week, on November 12, 2024, an intellectual game “Master of Finance” was organized to develop students’ economic thinking and improve their financial literacy.
In autumn, a sports event “Student Cup: The Path of Kazhymukan” was held in memory of the outstanding athlete Kazhymukan Munaitpasov. The event contributed to the promotion of national sports, strengthening interest in historical heritage, and supporting youth initiatives.
The department actively supports students’ physical development and a healthy lifestyle. In 2025, faculty members and students participated in the university competition “Fun Starts,” where they won an honorable second place.
Cultural events were also organized, including a concert dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an environmental campaign and a visit to the Youth Theater, where students watched the performance “Tyrau, Tyrau, Cranes.”
Special attention is paid to building team spirit and student cohesion. For this purpose, a team-building event was organized in Burabay for first-year students.
Thus, the educational work of the Department of Business Administration has a systematic and comprehensive nature, covering various aspects of students’ personal development. The implementation of these activities contributes to the formation of civic responsibility, professional competencies, leadership qualities, and an active life position among students, meeting the modern demands of society and the labor market.
