In the conditions of development of market relations in the field of education and growth of competition, the main focus of the department "Finance, Accounting and Evaluation" puts on the quality of the educational process. It is expressed in the use of such forms and methods of teaching as;
- business games,
- case-stages
- and research projects using the methods of mathematical modeling.
The curriculum for the specialties of the department is adjusted according to the wishes and consultations with NPP "Atameken", which significantly increases the attractiveness of the specialties "Finance", "Accounting and Auditing" "Assessment", improves the chances of employment of graduates of the department.
Teachers in the educational process optimally combine theory and practice.
Students and undergraduates undergo practical training in operating economic entities. In most cases, the place of internship becomes a permanent job of a graduate after receiving a diploma.
In January 2018, a branch of the department in EurAsian HOLDING LLP, represented by the director of the appraisal company Kirshimbekov Adilkhan Kartaevich, was opened in order to develop cooperation and improve the quality level of training graduates of the Finance, Accounting and Assessment Department The branch opened its doors to students for internship and pre-diploma practice.

The use of the dual elements learning makes it possible to bring theory closer to practice. These are classes by leading practitioners both within the university and in the branches of the department, guest lectures, online conferences and seminars.
The department actively collaborates with leading Russian and Kazakh universities in terms of training and scientific work, academic mobility, and scientific internships for undergraduates.
When forming educational programs, the opinions of students, employers, as well as the results of the annual ratings of the EP conducted by NPP Atameken are taken as the basis.
So, according to the results of the rating for December 2019, the educational programs “Finance”, “Accounting and Auditing” were included in the top 30 among the 70 universities of Kazakhstan that took part in the rating, and the “Assessment” EP - in the top 3 of the 10 universities .
