General Information

The Erasmus+ program was launched by the European Commission in 2014. The program encompasses education, youth policy, sports, and other fields of activity. Erasmus+ is a powerful tool for promoting education, culture, and youth initiatives in various countries. It contributes to the development of skills and the creation of a more open and global educational and youth space. The program's objectives include creating a new quality of cooperation, which involves:

• Using, disseminating, and developing previously achieved results

• Promoting new ideas and engaging new participants from the labor market and civil society

• Creating and developing new forms of cooperation

The program has integrated previously existing programs such as The LifeLong Learning Programme, The Youth in Action program, The Erasmus Mundus Programme, Alfa, Edulink, Tempus, and others.

Within the framework of higher education cooperation in Erasmus+, the following main directions have been identified:

Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals - providing new mobility opportunities for students and staff

Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and good practice - fostering cooperation for the development of university potential and the exchange of best practices

Additionally, there are Jean Monnet Activities, which offer extensive opportunities for the development of European studies within the Jean Monnet sub-program.

Compared to previous EU education programs, the geographical scope of Erasmus+ has significantly expanded. Erasmus+ covers "Programme Countries," including:

It also includes "Partner Countries," divided into 13 geographical regions:
