UNIVERSITY GRANTS "TAU"

1. Competition for the rector’s grant

Rector’s grants are awarded annually on the basis of the results of internal competitive selection in order to motivate, improve the quality of knowledge gained, support talented and purposeful youth.

Contest conditions 

1. 1. High points on the UNT (100 and above).
2. 2. Availability of certificates, certificates, diplomas for the last 3 years, confirming prizes at the republican, international Olympiads, projects and scientific competitions.

Competitive selection is carried out from July 1 to August 23.

The results of the contest will be announced on August 24.

The members of the commission on the awarding of internal grants and discounts of the university determine the holders of Rector’s Grants based on the number of UNT points, the presence of a certificate or diploma with honors, the quality of the presented portfolio. 

2. Toktar Aubakirov Grant Competition

Grant of the First Kazakh cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union, Halyk Khakharmani - Tokhtar Ongarbayevich Aubakirov is awarded as social support to the prize-winners of significant sports competitions, as well as support to talented and purposeful youth.

Contest conditions

1. 1. 90 or more points on the UNT;
2. 2. Availability of certificates, certificates, diplomas in the last 3 years in the field of sports, creative directions, the study of foreign languages at the level of national and international competitions and competitions.

Commission members for internal grants and discounts award Grant Toktar Aubakirov based on UNT points and portfolio quality.

3. Competition for benefits and discounts on tuition fees

At the University of TAU the tuition fee for 2022-2023 academic year for the educational programs of bachelor is 700,000 tenge in full-time education.

As social support, the following discounts are granted:

• - applicants who applied for full-time studies for bachelor’s studies from February 1 to June 1, subject to 30% payment by June 1, a discount of 95,000 tenge for 4 years of study, will be paid 605,000 tenge.
• - applicants, holders of the «Altyn Belgui» mark, are given a discount of 100% for 4 years of study, provided that the number of UNT points at the applicant is 100 and above points, with at least 5 points for each subject in one of the UNT (January, March, June, August). Only the first 50 entrants (until August 25).
• According to the results of the work of the competition commission for Grant Rector and Toktar Aubakirov, the number of applicants ranges from 10% to 100%, depending on the quality of the portfolio for one year of study.
• - holders of diplomas with distinction are given a 50% discount for 1 year of training (threshold score on the UNT - 90).
• - participants of the subject Olympiad of the University «Turan-Astana» are given discounts: for 1.2.3 place - 100% discount in payment for one year of study; for 4.5.6 place - 50% discount in payment for one year of study; for 7.8.9.10 place - 30% discount in payment for one year of study. (In the case of any UNT 90 certificate, for each subject not less than 5 points).
• - graduates of intellectual schools: «Daryn», «Nazarbayev Intellectual School», «Bilom innovation» is given a 50% discount for all years of study (threshold score at UNT - 90).

Discounts are not granted to persons studying at the expense of enterprises.

Admission to TAU takes place from 10 to 25 August inclusive. It is necessary to fully provide the package of documents, to conclude a contract, to make an advance payment of 30% in case of receipt on the paid branch.
