PERSONAL SCHOLARSHIP OF T.O. AUBAKIROV

To motivate and encourage students, Turan-Astana University has implemented the nominal scholarship program of the first Kazakh astronaut,  People's Hero of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor Toktar Ongarbaevich Aubakirov. The scholarship is awarded annually to sophomores and juniors who have achieved outstanding academic excellence, and showcased success in research, and extracurricular activities. 

Applications are accepted from January 20 to February 10. 

To participate in the competition, a student must provide the following documents:

1. submission of participation in the competition in accordance with Appendix 1 (no more than 1 page);

2. a participant's questionnaire of no more than 1 printed page in accordance with the appendix;

3. a copy of an ID card, a copy of the academic record book;

4. participant's portfolio consisting of the following documents:

• Essay: "If I become a holder of the nominal scholarship of the first Kazakh astronaut, People's Hero of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor Toktar Ongarbaevich Aubakirov, I would...." (no more than 2 pages);

• Information about the most significant events and the implementation of which the participant took (is taking) participation during a period of full-time supervised study at the university;

• Information about the social activity of the participant of the competition in accordance with the appendix;

• Copies of certificates/diplomas/other documents documenting the participant's participation or highlighting the highest achievement in competitive events;

• Photo and video materials about participation in events carried out by socially significant and public activities (on CD/DVD at the discretion of the participant).

 

*The required documents have to be submitted to the Contest Committee personally by the candidate. Materials sent by e-mail will not be considered. Documents sent in violation of the deadline will not be considered as well. Documents that do not meet the requirements of this provision will not be considered and will be returned back to the participant.
