The Department of Design, Service and Tourism held a scientific seminar dedicated to the Day of Science

       On April 12, 2023, within the walls of Turan-Astana University, the 
Department of Design, Service and Tourism organized and held a scientific 
seminar on the topic “Modern problems and trends in the introduction of 
digital technologies in the activities of enterprises in the hospitality industry 
of Kazakhstan”.
       The speaker of the seminar was Ph.D in Economics, Associate Professor 
of the Department Mizambekova Zh.K. During the seminar, topical issues of 
the application of modern innovative technologies in the field of tourism and 
hospitality were considered.
      It is worth noting that the leaders, staff, teachers, undergraduates and 
students of the University "Turan-Astana" took an active part in the work of 
the seminar, namely the Vice Provost for Science and Innovation PhD 
Smoylov S.Zh., Head of the Department «Design, Service and Tourism», 
Ph.D. Kabasheva N.V., Associate Professor of the Department, Ph.D. Atikeeva 
S.N., senior lecturers Salmenova S.K., Baizakova A.S., Galiakbarov E.E.
       In general, the seminar became a fairly fruitful platform during which 
topical issues of developing not only the tourism sector, but also 
determining the role of the development of the hospitality industry in the 
life of modern society were discussed.
      The Department of Design, Service and Tourism is aimed at holding such
scientific events in the future, which will allow it to become one of the 
centers actively involved in the process of research and promotion of 
national tourism products in the future.
