TAU Student Academic Mobility

Turan-Astana University (TAU) academic exchange program with leading international and Kazakhstani universities.

What is Academic Mobility?

It is an opportunity for students to study or conduct research at another university for one academic semester or a full academic year.

Core Condition: Mandatory transfer of academic credits earned at the host university upon return to the home university.

External Mobility: Studying at international universities.
Internal Mobility: Studying at leading universities within the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Eligibility

The program is open to students of the following years of study:

Bachelor’s degree: 2nd–3rd year (for 4-year programs) or 2nd–4th year (for 5-year programs).
Master’s degree: 1st year (full-time).

Qualification Requirements:

Academic Standing: Minimum GPA of 2.67.
Language Proficiency: Minimum level of B2 (Upper-Intermediate) in the language of instruction.

Terms and Conditions

Tuition at the partner university is free of charge. All additional expenses (airfare, accommodation, meals, health insurance, visa fees) must be covered by the student.

Application Deadlines:

Spring Semester: Until November 24, 2025.
Fall Semester: Until May 1, 2026.

Duration of study: 1 academic semester.

Required Documents:

Application form (established format).
Copy of the passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Academic transcript, certified by the TAU Department of External Relations and Career Guidance.
Document confirming foreign language proficiency (international certificate or TAU internal test results).
Medical certificate (Form No. 072/у).
Written consent from parents/guardians (for students under 18 at the time of departure).
Document confirming family composition (for students from large families).
Document confirming absence of parents (for orphans or students without parental care, if applicable).
Document confirming disability (if applicable).

Selection Procedure:

Application submission: in autumn, students submit applications.
Preliminary selection - conducted by the TAU Academic Mobility Commission in accordance with established criteria.
Interview: for students who have successfully passed the preliminary selection.
Registration of students for participation in the Academic Mobility Program.
