Students organized a poetry evening in honor of the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev.

The university hosted an evening of poetry in honor of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher, composer, enlightener, thinker, public figure, founder of Kazakh written literature Abay Kunanbayev. The creative evening of amateur TAU poets is held for the third year in a row and has a reason to become traditional. The performances, warmly received by the audience and the jury, were presented with sincerity, cordiality, stylistic and substantial diversity.

The event dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great poet, dedicated to improving students' knowledge about Kazakh literature and poetry, in particular about the creative heritage of Abay.

That evening students discussed the works of Abay Kunanbaev, read their favorite poems and discussed the problems of literature these days.

The jury evaluated the participants objectively, handed them memorable prizes and diplomas.
So, the winner of the Grand Prix was Kalikhan Irina, a first-year student of "Law" educational program.
1st place was taken by Altynay Maralbekkyzy, a 1st year student of the specialty “Translation Studies”.
2nd place went to Serіmkhan Erkebulan, the student of "Kazakh language and literature" specialty.
3rd place was taken by future lawyer Asanbaeva Saule, a 1st year student.

The event was organized by the Committee on Youth Affairs of TAU University.
