Teaching and Methodological Activities of the Department
The teaching and methodological activities of the Department of National and International Law at Turan-Astana University are aimed at creating an advanced educational environment. Our goal is to train a new generation of lawyers equipped with the competencies necessary to contribute to the global sustainable development agenda and to strengthen the fundamental principles of Law and Order in society.
In accordance with the University Roadmap for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) until 2026, the department integrates issues of the rule of law, social justice, and legal ethics (SDG 16) into all academic disciplines. We provide comprehensive methodological support by introducing digital educational resources and updating syllabi in line with international standards.
Particular attention is given to practice-oriented education. The department serves as an intellectual platform for debates, legal forums, and guest lectures featuring leading representatives of the legal community, including judges, prosecutors, and advocates. This approach enables students not only to master legal theory but also to understand the importance of their profession in building a Just Kazakhstan.
Active cooperation with stakeholders and memorandums with government institutions provide students with access to leading internship opportunities. We create an environment where academic knowledge is integrated with real legal practice, fostering future leaders who are ready to uphold the rule of law and contribute to the development of a legal state.
