The Department of Psychology and Social-Humanitarian Sciences is a structural subdivision of Turan-Astana University.

The goal of the department is to train highly educated and spiritually developed, competitive specialists in the field of psychology and social-humanitarian sciences, to promote modern academic ideas, and to prepare graduates who are in demand in the labor market.

Objectives of the department:

to form professional competencies and skills necessary for further education and successful practical activity;
to introduce modern educational technologies into the learning process and ensure high quality of teaching;
to develop the scientific potential of the department’s faculty;
to improve pedagogical mastery and enhance staff qualifications in the context of university modernization;
to involve students in research and project activities;
to cultivate students’ spiritual, moral, and social-humanitarian values.

The Department of Psychology and Social-Humanitarian Sciences is based on an innovative approach, interdisciplinarity, and commitment to high quality in specialist training. Special attention is given to the development of research activities, the introduction of new concepts into psychological practice, and the formation of skills necessary for students’ professional and personal growth.

The department offers educational programs at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels (scientific-pedagogical track). Its academic staff includes 7 Doctors of Sciences, 7 Candidates of Sciences, and 18 Masters. All faculty members correspond to the field of study and possess a high level of scientific and pedagogical qualification.

The department’s research work covers the fields of psychology, pedagogy, and social-humanitarian sciences. The department prepares specialists with profound knowledge in psychology, pedagogy, philosophy, sociology, and cultural studies, who are able to effectively apply their expertise in scientific, educational, and practical activities.
