The Volunteer Headquarters “Turan-Astana” is a student association engaged in active social, charitable, and community-oriented activities aimed at fostering a culture of mutual assistance, civic responsibility, and humanism among young people.
The headquarters operates in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and is focused on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular: ensuring quality education (SDG 4), reducing inequalities (SDG 10), promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3), developing sustainable communities (SDG 11), and strengthening partnerships for sustainable development (SDG 17).
The headquarters organizes and conducts volunteer campaigns, charity events, social projects, and initiatives aimed at supporting socially vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and individuals with special educational needs. Special attention is given to promoting inclusive education, creating an accessible environment, and ensuring equal opportunities for all students to participate in volunteer activities, regardless of their individual characteristics.
Members of the headquarters regularly take part in environmental campaigns, city-wide and national events, as well as projects dedicated to significant dates and occasions, thereby contributing to the development of environmental awareness and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
In addition, the headquarters provides organizational and informational support to student volunteers, conducts training sessions, seminars, and meetings with experts aimed at developing professional and personal competencies, as well as skills in inclusive interaction, social responsibility, and sustainable thinking.
Thus, the Volunteer Headquarters “Turan-Astana” serves as an important platform for student self-realization, engagement in public life, and the formation of an active civic position based on the principles of sustainable development, inclusivity, and equality.
