Every year, our university holds a конкурс for awarding the named scholarship of Toktar Ongarbayevich Aubakirov — Hero of the Soviet Union, People’s Hero of Kazakhstan, test cosmonaut-researcher, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor.

To become a recipient of this scholarship, a student must:

• have the highest academic ranking;
• actively participate in the social life of the university;
• demonstrate significant achievements in scientific activity.

The names of the best candidates are approved at a meeting of the University Academic Council.

The scholarship is awarded to 2nd–3rd year students who have achieved high results in:

• academic studies;
• research activities;
• sports;
• creative activities.

The application period is held annually from January 27 to February 10.

To participate in the competition, applicants must submit the following documents:

1. A nomination letter for participation in the competition in accordance with Appendix 1 (no more than 1 page);
2. A participant application form (in accordance with the established format, no more than 1 printed page);
3. A copy of the identity card and a copy of the academic transcript;
4. The participant’s portfolio.
