Turan-Astana University Supports the National Marathon "Reading Nation": New Books - New Horizons of Knowledge

A book remains an inexhaustible source of knowledge, intellectual development, and spiritual enrichment. In the era of rapid digital technology advancement, fostering a culture of conscious reading takes on a special significance, as it promotes critical thinking, broadens horizons, and shapes an educated, analytical generation.

On October 14, 2026, Turan-Astana University hosted an exhibition of new book arrivals, organized by the university library in support of the national marathon "Reading Nation" ("Kіtap oqityn ułt").

The exhibition, set up in the foyer of the academic building, featured 168 new publications covering various fields of science and education. Among them were educational and methodological manuals, scientific literature, as well as books dedicated to modern technologies and current trends in social development. Special attention was paid to popularizing reading among the student youth and expanding opportunities for independent knowledge acquisition.

As part of the "Reading Nation" national marathon, visitors were presented with a thematic video presentation of the books, introduced to the registration process for participating in the marathon, the rules for writing book reviews, and the possibilities of utilizing electronic library resources.

The national marathon "Reading Nation" is designed to strengthen interest in books, form sustainable reading habits, and establish reading as an essential component of the intellectual and cultural development of society. For the university environment, this initiative is of particular importance, since reading not only broadens professional knowledge but also develops the ability to analyze information, express one's own position with reasoned arguments, and think independently.

By supporting the national marathon, Turan-Astana University consistently develops a reading culture, creates conditions for the intellectual growth of students, and reinforces the library's role as a space for education, scientific research, and personal development. After all, a reading youth is the intellectual potential of the country, the foundation of its future achievements, and new opportunities.
