Sergey Grigoryevich Baybuza
Education and Awards
1986–1989 – Tselinograd Art College, specialization: Artist.
1992–1998 – Akmola Agrarian University (Astana), specialization: Architect.
1998–2003 – Organized personal exhibitions and participated in international competitions. Also took part in a republican exhibition at the A. Kasteev State Museum of Arts.
Since 2003 – Member of the Union of Artists and laureate of a named award in painting.
2008–2010 – Laureate of the “Nur Otan” People’s Democratic Party competition for the best anti-corruption poster.
2012 – Laureate of the exhibition-competition “French New Year Fairy Tale” organized by Alliance Française in Astana.
2014 – Second place in the logo design competition for the 2019 Biathlon World Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk (organized by the Russian Biathlon Union).
2015 – Grand Prix winner for installation in the water-themed nomination organized by Rotary Club of Astana.
Work Experience
1998–2000 – Astana, LLP “Vostok-Invest”, as well as Moscow.
Participated in design and finishing works of RAO UES office interiors, private interior projects, and architectural design.
2000–2003 – Astana, “Arch-Idea”. Continued collaboration with Moscow colleagues, worked as an architect.
2003–2018 – Astana, Turan-Astana University, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Tourism and Service.
Also engaged in private design practice and served as Director of the “Grotesque” design studio.
