Science Week 2026 at TAU: Intelligence, Innovation, and Global Challenges
From April 8 to April 15, Turan-Astana University became the epicenter of scientific thought. Science Week 2026 brought together students, undergraduates, and leading experts to address the pressing challenges of our time, ranging from the ethics of artificial intelligence to sustainable development strategies.
Key Research Vectors:
Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity: The central theme focused on the integration of AI into economy, design, and tourism. Experts and students conducted an in-depth analysis of methods to counter AI-driven fraud and established new standards for scientific research in the digital age.
Global Agenda and SDGs: As part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals initiative (SDG #5), a roundtable on gender equality was held. Special emphasis was placed on reports regarding women's political leadership in modern Kazakhstan.
Ecology and Sustainable Tourism: Participants discussed the digital transformation of Specially Protected Natural Areas (SPNAs), presenting models for tourism development that safeguard local ecosystems.
Soft Skills and Academic Excellence: A series of workshops focused on developing emotional intelligence and providing practical skills for writing high-impact scientific articles.
Triumph of Innovation: Our Victories
Science Week was marked by significant international achievements of TAU students and graduate researchers:
Breakthrough of the Year: Victory in the "Best Social Startup" category at the international "Mening Armanym" competition.
International Recognition: A 1st Degree Diploma at the scientific competition hosted by the Lipetsk branch of RANEPA.
"Science Week 2026 demonstrated not only a high level of research activity but also the readiness of our students to work at the intersection of disciplines. We are creating science that holds practical value for both the economy and society," noted the university organizing committee.
Following the events, all participants were awarded personal certificates. Science Week reaffirmed TAU's status as a premier platform for shaping the country's intellectual elite.
