         The Debate Club of Turan-Astana University is a dynamic intellectual platform that brings together students aiming to develop skills in argumentation, critical analysis, and public speaking. The club creates an environment where each participant can unlock their potential, learn to defend their position, and confidently speak in front of an audience, regardless of social, cultural, or physical background.

The club is led by Sagynuly Miras, under whose guidance students actively engage in discussions on current social, political, and international issues, including topics related to sustainable development, inclusion, and social responsibility.

Key areas of the club’s activities:

  • Promoting a culture of reasoned dialogue and respect for alternative viewpoints;
  • Fostering active citizenship, patriotic awareness, and commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
  • Enhancing public speaking and oratory skills;
  • Developing analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems;
  • Supporting initiative, self-development, and lifelong learning;
  • Creating an inclusive environment for exchanging knowledge and innovative ideas, taking into account cultural, perspective, and ability diversity;
  • Developing leadership qualities and confidence in students, preparing them for socially responsible leadership.

Throughout the academic year, the club holds presentations and open debates with experienced speakers and alumni who have successfully participated in debate tournaments.
