TAU ONEGE

TAU ONEGE

TAU Onege is a student ensemble of folk dances that brings together students interested in national culture and traditional arts. The primary goal of the organization is to preserve cultural heritage, promote folk dances, and develop participants’ stage skills.

The activities of TAU Onege are carried out in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and focus on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including quality education (SDG 4), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), preservation of cultural heritage, and the development of sustainable communities through arts and culture (SDG 11).

The organization plays a significant role in the university’s cultural life by forming creative groups that represent the university at various events, festivals, and celebrations. Members study traditional dance styles, learn about the cultural characteristics of different regions, and refine their folk dance performance skills.

Special attention is given to developing stage expressiveness, movement flexibility, teamwork, and creating an inclusive environment that ensures participation of all students, including those with special educational needs, in the ensemble’s creative and cultural activities.

Activities include regular rehearsals, preparation of concert performances, and participation in university and external cultural events. Participation in TAU Onege fosters students’ creative abilities, enhances their cultural competence, and encourages social engagement.

Thus, TAU Onege serves as an important platform for preserving national cultural heritage, developing students’ creative potential, and promoting the values of sustainable development, inclusivity, and cultural diversity.
