XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference: "AI-Transformation: The Path of Innovation from University Laboratory to Market"

On April 29–30, 2026, Turan-Astana University will host a landmark scientific and educational event - the XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference. This forum is dedicated to a significant milestone — the 80th anniversary of Khalyk Kaharmany, the first Kazakh cosmonaut, Toktar Ongarbayevich Aubakirov.

​Strategic Objective

​          The forum aims to develop systemic approaches to the commercialization of artificial intelligence developments and to consolidate the efforts of the academic community to strengthen the country's scientific and technological sovereignty.

​          Key Participants

​          The conference is expected to feature:

​          Zhaslan Madiyev — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

​Representatives of the expert and scientific communities from China, Malaysia, Germany, and CIS countries;

​          Leading Kazakhstani scientists, heads of research institutes, and representatives of the technology business sector.

​          Thematic Areas

​          Discussions and presentations will focus on the most pressing aspects of digital transformation:

​          Legal Compliance: Regulation of AI at national and international levels.

​Technological Modernization: Industrial implementation of intelligent algorithms.

​Economy of Innovation: Strategies for AI-solution monetization and the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

​          Holding the conference in honor of Toktar Aubakirov’s anniversary emphasizes the continuity of the tradition of service to science: from heroic achievements in space exploration to modern digital breakthroughs. The personal example and contribution of Toktar Ongarbayevich to the nation's development serve as a key benchmark for a new generation of researchers.
