The Student Group Leaders Council is a student organization that unites the leaders of academic groups and plays a key role in coordinating the educational process and facilitating interaction between students and the university administration.
The council operates in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and is focused on implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including quality education (SDG 4), reducing inequalities (SDG 10), and strengthening effective institutions and partnerships (SDGs 16 and 17).
Its primary mission is to ensure effective and transparent communication among faculty, administration, and students, provide timely information about important academic events, monitor adherence to the academic schedule, and contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive educational environment that considers the needs of all students.
Beyond its coordination role, the council actively participates in organizing university events, educational projects, competitions, and olympiads, ensuring equal access for all students and upholding principles of academic fairness and equal opportunity.
The council also promotes the development of leadership skills among students, organizes trainings, and facilitates experience exchange between group leaders from different courses and faculties, with a focus on inclusive interaction, teamwork, and responsibility.
Additionally, the organization collects and analyzes student feedback, including from students with special educational needs, allowing the student community’s perspectives to be considered in decision-making and improvements to the educational process.
Thus, the Student Group Leaders Council serves as an important platform for student participation in academic governance, leadership development, and strengthening student self-management based on the principles of sustainable development, inclusivity, and equality.
