The Future of the Road Industry: Turan-Astana University at the Astana Dialogue Platform
A round table dedicated to a strategic issue - the development of human capital in Kazakhstan’s road industry - was held in the capital. The discussion brought together representatives from the relevant ministry, the city Maslikhat, leading universities, and industry-specific organizations.
Participants emphasized that the sustainable growth of road infrastructure is impossible without high-quality staffing. Today, the industry is entering a new stage of development that requires the implementation of systemic measures for specialist training.
During the discussion, key steps in this direction were identified:
Launching a specialized group of educational programs titled "Transport Construction."
Increasing the number of state grants for the training of specialized road industry professionals.
Strengthening ties between educational institutions and industrial enterprises.
Turan-Astana University, which actively participates in shaping the country’s human resource potential, was represented at the event by First Vice-Rector Aitzhan Abdyrov and the Director of the Department for Academic Affairs, Aizhan Dairabayeva.
The participation of the University’s leadership in such a high-level discussion confirms the institution’s readiness to synchronize its educational programs with the current demands of the economy and the infrastructure sector.
The round table was also attended by Anar Gabdullina, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Roads, and deputies of the Astana City Maslikhat.
A direct dialogue between government agencies, industry departments, and the academic community allows for the creation of an effective model for training personnel who will become the backbone of the country's transport system.
Turan-Astana University continues to strengthen its partnership with state and specialized structures, ensuring its graduates have access to high-demand, large-scale projects at the national level.
