Excellence at Heights: Turan-Astana Team Crowned Absolute Champions in Caving Technique!
On the eve of the Nauryz spring festival, the students of our University have inscribed a brilliant new chapter into our sporting history, demonstrating supreme athletic prowess and an indomitable will to victory at the City Caving Championship. From March 21 to March 24, the L.N. Gumilyov ENU hosted a rigorous competition — the Caving Technique Championship on Artificial Terrain. The Turan-Astana University team, competing in the "Students" category, did more than just participate; they emerged as the primary triumphalists, reaffirming their status as the undisputed leaders of the capital’s university sports.
Indoor caving is a discipline that leaves no room for error. It demands maximum concentration, immense endurance, and flawless mastery of complex equipment from every athlete. Every meter of vertical ascent and every technical knot on the course became a test of resilience, which our team passed with true championship composure and impeccable sporting technique.
The individual competition turned into a spectacular showcase for Turan-Astana athletes. Our students swept the entire podium: Farhat Tursunbekov secured the Gold medal (1st Place), Assylzhan Muratbek claimed Silver (2nd Place), and the Bronze awards (3rd Place) were shared by Azat Kaidar and Dayana Ramazan. Thanks to this unprecedented concentration of talent, our University students secured a well-deserved first place in the overall team standings for this distance by a significant margin.
A true triumph awaited the squad in the "Team" distance as well, where seamless coordination and absolute mutual trust allowed our athletes to ascend the highest step of the podium once again. This achievement serves as clear evidence that Turan-Astana University fosters not only strong individuals but a united, invincible team.
The culmination of this four-day marathon was the announcement of the final results. Based on the aggregate of all complex challenges, the Turan-Astana University team was recognized as the absolute winner and awarded the championship’s highest honor — the GRAND PRIX! This grandiose victory is the result of intensive and systematic training, dedication, and the high professionalism of the coaching staff.
We congratulate our champions and their mentors! You have once again proven that for Turan-Astana students, no height is unreachable. Your success is the pride of the entire University and an inspiration to everyone.
Bravo, champions! Forward to new heights and great achievements!
