Republic Day Congratulations from the Rector of Turan-Astana University
Dear colleagues, students, and alumni!
I cordially congratulate you on our national holiday - the Republic Day of the Kazakhstan!
The date of October 25 holds a special place in the history of our country. The adoption of the Declaration on State Sovereignty in 1990 was a crucial step towards independence, defining the aspiration of the people of Kazakhstan to build their own future. This date embodies the values of statehood, unity, and responsibility for the fate of our Fatherland, uniting us all in a shared sense of belonging to its present and future.
Republic Day inspires us to reflect on the path our country has traveled and our own contribution to its development. The success of Kazakhstan is built upon the hard work, knowledge, and initiative of its citizens, as well as their readiness to create, maintain social harmony, and achieve common goals.
Higher education bears a special responsibility in this endeavor. The university shapes a young person's professional knowledge and worldview, helps them find moral reference points, and teaches them to think independently and make responsible decisions. It is during the student years that the understanding solidifies that personal achievements can and must serve the well-being of society.
For Turan-Astana University, this responsibility determines the core content of our educational and upbringing work. By strengthening the link between learning and practice, supporting scientific research, and encouraging student initiatives, we create an environment where young people learn to find solutions to complex problems, master new technologies, and act confidently in a changing world. It is essential for us that our graduates possess deep knowledge, breadth of mind, readiness to take responsibility for their chosen field, and work successfully for the benefit of the Republic.
An integral part of this mission is fostering respect for the country's history, its cultural heritage, and the unity and diversity of the people of Kazakhstan. We strive to ensure that love for the Motherland finds expression in daily actions, diligent studies, research work, volunteering, environmental care, and readiness to help others. Such experience shapes a mature civic position and a desire to bring value to one's country.
Dear students! You are the ones who will develop the economy, science, education, and culture of Kazakhstan, finding answers to the challenges of our time. Today, your knowledge, ideas, and energy are already becoming a part of the country's future. Set bold goals for yourselves, remain open to new things, and preserve respect for your roots. May your education become a solid foundation for your professional growth, constructive labor, and service to society.
I would like to express my gratitude to the faculty and staff of the University for their dedication to their work, their attention to every student, and their daily contribution to training educated, proactive, and responsible specialists.
I wish you all good health, peace, prosperity, and confidence in tomorrow! May Kazakhstan prosper, and may our joint efforts open up new opportunities for our youth and the entire country!
Happy Republic Day!
Sincerely,
Gulzhamal Japarova
