Bridging Generations and the Code of Honor: A Patriotic Forum at Turan-Astana University

February 12 Turan-Astana University hosted a landmark event, bringing together graduating students from the Higher School of Law and Humanities, local high school seniors, and representatives of the Border Service of the National Security Committee (NSC) of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Held in observance of the anniversary of the Soviet troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, the forum served as a powerful platform for dialogue on patriotism, professional duty, and informed career choices.

The event commenced with an opening address by the Dean of the Higher School of Law and Humanities, Dr. M.M. Narbinova, who highlighted the university's pivotal role in cultivating the next generation of global leaders.

The forum gained profound significance through the address of Colonel (Ret.) Abusakhit Zulkarnaevich Tulegenov, a veteran of the Border Service and combatant on the Tajik-Afghan border, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of National and International Law. His firsthand account of service provided the youth with a living example of courage and steadfast commitment to historical memory. Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel Talgat Zhulamanovich Boldusov, representing the Human Resources Department of the Central Apparatus of the NSC Border Service, provided a detailed overview of professional growth prospects and career trajectories within the ranks of those defending national interests.

The event reached its climax with a triumphant performance by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the NSC Border Service. Their high-octane energy resonated throughout the hall, fostering a sense of national pride and unity. Such university initiatives do more than just strengthen intergenerational ties and legal culture; they lay a solid foundation for statehood in the minds of future professionals.
