Gold and Silver in Huawei Networking Technologies Won by Turan-Astana Students

On April 24, 2026, students of Turan-Astana University achieved outstanding success at the Republican Interuniversity Olympiad among IT and Telecommunications students titled “Networking Technologies Based on Huawei”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

Representatives of 15 higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in this prestigious intellectual competition. As a result of the Olympiad, Turan-Astana University students demonstrated a high level of theoretical and practical training, winning two prize places:

1st place — Nurai Olzhabekova

2nd place — Igor Tokmachev

The winners received cash prizes of 250,000 tenge and 80,000 tenge, as well as diplomas, memorable gifts, and well-deserved recognition from the organizers.

This achievement is especially significant because the students were trained at the Turan-Astana University Academy, where they regularly attended specialized classes in Huawei networking technologies, improved their practical skills in configuring network equipment, studied modern networking solutions, and deepened their professional knowledge.

This high result became possible thanks to systematic preparation under the guidance of Anatoly Konev, Vice-Rector for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, who is also an instructor of the Huawei Academy. He personally supervised the students’ training, prepared participants, provided expert support, and created conditions for the development of talented youth in the field of modern IT technologies.

Thanks to their brilliant performance, our winners now have the opportunity to move to a new level and represent the university at one of the most prestigious international platforms — the global Huawei ICT Competition, which brings together the strongest students from different countries around the world.

We congratulate our students and their mentor on this remarkable victory and wish them new achievements, confident progress, and success in conquering international heights!
