NEW HORIZONS OF IT EDUCATION: KASPERSKY ACADEMY OPENS AT TURAN-ASTANA UNIVERSITY
Today, Turan-Astana University hosted a landmark event marking qualitatively new prospects for training high-caliber IT specialists - the official inauguration of the Kaspersky Academy.
The establishment of this innovative platform represents an important milestone in integrating academic education with cutting-edge cybersecurity industry technologies. The new Academy will enable students to master practical data protection skills, analyze current cyber threats, and work with world-class software solutions.
The ceremonial opening was led by First Vice-Rector of Turan-Astana University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Aitzhan Abdyrov, and Head of Government Affairs for Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and Mongolia at Kaspersky Asset Ordabayev.
The participation of university leadership and IT industry representatives highlighted the high practical value of this partnership.
In his welcoming address, First Vice-Rector Professor Aitzhan Abdyrov emphasized the strategic importance of the event. He noted that the launch of this innovative facility directly addresses key national priorities set by the Head of State regarding the large-scale digital transformation of Kazakhstan, the strengthening of technological sovereignty, and the development of a robust pool of domestic IT talent: «As part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, our university is taking an important practical step toward building an advanced educational ecosystem. We strive to provide TAU students with conditions where they can acquire knowledge and applied skills that fully meet rigorous global cybersecurity standards,» the speaker concluded.

Following the official ceremony and symbolic ribbon-cutting, guests toured the technical setup of the new educational platform.
