CAREER START FOR FUTURE LAWYERS

On October 15, 2026, Turan-Astana University hosted a seminar and training session entitled “Career Start for a Future Lawyer: Preparing a Professional Résumé and Portfolio.”

The invited experts were Diana Mukhanbetzhanova and Aigerim Mersat, specialists from the Employer Support Sector of the Municipal State Institution “Labor Mobility Center” of the Akimat of Astana.

During the seminar, students enrolled in academic programs within the B049 Law group learned about current labor market requirements and received practical guidance on employment. The experts explained the key principles of writing a professional résumé, developing a portfolio, and effectively presenting one’s competencies and achievements to potential employers.

Particular attention was given to finding a first job, preparing for an interview, and understanding employers’ expectations of young professionals. The open-dialogue format allowed students to discuss their questions and receive professional advice.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the joint work and organize similar seminars for students enrolled in other academic programs at the University. The participants also discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum of cooperation between Turan-Astana University and the Municipal State Institution “Labor Mobility Center” of the Akimat of Astana.
